Is Home Staging A Worthwhile Investment
Is Home Staging A Worthwhile Investment
I am constantly asked, “Is home staging a worthwhile investment?” And the answer is a reverberating, “YES one hundred times over!” How often do you get the kind of monetary break in life that selling your home may offer? And if you really have to sell your home, why would you leave it to assumptions? In my world, staging is not only a worthwhile investment but an unquestionable necessity! By giving the home buyer what they desire…a home they can be exultant of…you will get precisely what you want, in return.
Back in 2000, when I got into the Home Staging Market, no one even comprehended what home staging was. There were no TV shows, no books nor articles on home staging, and no websites to boost the gains of staging your home. As a newbie stager in a relevant home staging industry, I chose to market my services to high-end homes only, understanding that only people with so much to realise would be drawn. But it didn’t take long for wisdom to prove me wrong.
If you’re selling your home, you know it should be clean and clutter-free, along with photogenic.
What I understood reasonably ahead of time on is that it wasn’t just a specific customer that would profit from home staging… every homeowner and real estate agent would harvest the premia, no matter the price point! Buying a home is probably the biggest purchase anyone will ever make. Besides, selling that home is often the biggest shot a homeowner will ever be given to turn a profit! Where else can the average homeowner earn a big, fat premium of $5K, $20K, or even more in one lump sum? There too, since the market has turned and the housing market has been in flux, making your house as pleasing as practicable to stand out in a real estate market now flooded with choices is also to the homeowner’s advantage.
If you’re still wondering… Is home staging a worthwhile investment?
“The investment of staging in your home is far less than a first price reduction on your home.”

The question still remains; Is home staging a worthwhile investment but still, I have to own, I do discover it a bit unexpected that I still see so many homes sitting on the market looking quite grim. When I hear a homeowner or a realtor saying… “I don’t believe in home staging!” I wonder if these guys would ever argue, “I don’t believe in preparing for a job interview!” Because honestly, it’s the same thing. The undivided purpose is to make your home as engaging as reasonable for possible buyers so they can see for themselves, this is the right purchase for them. Anything you can do to satisfy or knock their expectations will only work to your favour.
Realistically, 97% or more of potential buyers start their search for a new home online, there are many homeowners and real estate agents out there leaving their open home listing to wishful assumptions. One might get lucky and the perfect buyer who can see past all that old school wallpaper and jumble might come along and catch it up. (Though they are far and few between.) And yes, it’s fairly correct, if you gash your price, you might get a few offers. (If you don’t mind giving your house away.) But wouldn’t it be cleverer to make your home as inviting as possible? Wouldn’t your probabilities of selling quicker for more money raise if your house looked marvellous? Wouldn’t you fancy to at least have some charge over your destiny? Common thought says it would.
